Carl Sagan famously said that “the cosmos is within us,” and that we are literally made of “star-stuff.” It’s a phrase so beautiful that it’s often mistaken for metaphor, but he meant it quite literally. Every atom that forms your body—carbon, oxygen, calcium, iron—originated in the nuclear furnaces of stars that burned long before Earth ever formed. Those stars lived, collapsed, and exploded, scattering their elements across the galaxy. Over billions of years, that debris cooled, gathered, and eventually shaped planets, oceans, plants… and us.
We walk around every day inside bodies assembled from cosmic remnants. The iron that carries oxygen through your bloodstream was once forged in the heart of a dying star. The calcium in your bones existed inside stellar explosions powerful enough to reshape entire regions of space. You are an accumulation of ancient light, woven into biological form.
This isn’t poetry.
It’s physics.
And it’s the quiet foundation of modern witchcraft—whether we’ve realized it or not.
We Are the Universe Experiencing Itself
When you understand that your body is composed of the same matter as galaxies, something shifts. You stop feeling like a small creature peering up at an unreachable cosmos. You begin to sense that you are the cosmos, arranged into consciousness, breath, sensation, intuition, and will.
From this perspective, magic stops being “woo” and becomes a natural extension of what we are. The universe has always interacted with itself in complex, mysterious ways. Why wouldn’t one of those ways be intention? Why wouldn’t consciousness participate in shaping reality?
Witchcraft isn’t about forcing the universe to bend to your desires.
It’s about remembering that you’re made of the same material it bends with.
Matter Isn’t Solid, and Neither Are Your Limitations
Physics tells us that matter isn’t actually solid. Atoms are mostly empty space—fields of probability, energy, and vibration. What we call “solid” is simply the result of electromagnetic forces interacting at close range.
The “solid” spoon isn’t solid, and neither is the boundary between you and the rest of existence.
This is where science and witchcraft begin their quiet handshake. When reality itself is dynamic, layered, and responsive, the idea that intention, emotion, and awareness might influence our lives isn’t strange at all—it’s intuitive.
Magic isn’t about defying the rules of the universe.
Magic is about learning to interact with them.
Witchcraft Becomes More Powerful When You Understand What You’re Made Of
When you know you’re made of star-forged elements, it reframes everything:
— Your breath becomes cosmic exchange.
You inhale oxygen created in ancient stars and exhale carbon that will one day become soil, plants, or planets.
— Your intuition becomes inherited knowledge.
The same universe that shaped you also shaped your instincts; they are not random.
— Your ritual tools become extensions of natural forces.
A candle flame becomes a process of heat, motion, transformation.
Water becomes memory and molecular cohesion.
Salt becomes crystalline order.
Herbs become chemistry.
Your body becomes a conductor of energy and intention.
None of this makes witchcraft less magical.
It makes it more miraculous, because it’s real.
This Is Where My Journey Begins
Energetic Workings is my way of stepping more fully into this intersection of science, spirit, and intuitive practice. I’m not approaching this as a physicist or a guru. I’m approaching it as someone who is endlessly curious about the nature of reality and deeply committed to understanding myself, my magic, and my place in the cosmos.
I’m learning as I go. I’m experimenting, sensing, and exploring what happens when we honor both the science that built our bodies and the magic that moves through our lives.
